Customer service is vital in all businesses and is imperative when operating a successful business. Customer concerns upset everyone and our staff works very hard to trouble shoot them so communication errors are kept to a minimum. From reading your complaint it appears that you became dissatisfied during our Pre-Development phase. You mentioned our A rating with the Online Business Bureau, our professional website, and the many useful tools to help with your decision to move forward with your idea which Davison considers all to be positive steps regarding how we do business. What you did not mention is that you also signed our Pre-Development Agreement on January 4th, 2011, which contained numerous statements that we did not promise you any return on the money spent on services. You also didn’t mention that you received and acknowledged the risk statements in the form of an Affirmative Disclosure and the American Inventor Protection Act disclosure. Those documents very explicitly informed you of the risks of new product development. Davison is well ahead of the curve when it comes to greater transparency and written terms and conditions. No other company on the globe give you as much information in advance and no one can compete based on the quality of product design and development services at the price points we offer. On July 15th, 2011 after many small payments towards your contract price, you requested a refund of $620.00. This was the entire amount you had paid towards your project. After receiving your request, the company agreed to refund your payments, even though you had signed the contract seven months earlier. Now that you have received a refund you have decided to complain about the company. It is odd, because you did not even give Davison the chance to perform the services that you had contracted to receive but hadn’t fully paid for. Inventing and new product development is not right for everyone. You have to be willing to accept that inventing is high risk with no guarantees of profits. We thought you had done that because you didn’t sign the contract until after you had received many, many statements of the risk. We are in the business of building product samples and packaging. When you are in business you are obliged to pay the staff, taxes, operation expenditures, vendors, telephone companies, utility companies, and so forth. Being in business costs money, but we run into inventors like you that think we should work for free while you gain the opportunity to collect royalties from our work. Simply put, it costs money to research, design and build products. You seem to forget that it was your invention and that you contacted us seeking assistance. We try to communicate in a very complete manner while recognizing the fact we are contacted by individuals from all over the world. Sometimes communications can be difficult because of cultural barriers. Thus, the great need to place all of our service offerings in clear and easily understood agreements. I'm not an anonymous poster. I was actually a client of Davison Inventions. I RECEIVED A REFUND!!!!!! A mother of 2 who has excellent ideas. Ideas that would help to change the world. It was exciting for my family and I to come across Davison Inventions. Their website looks professional. Their website is professional. The testimonials, newsroom, helpful hints, pictures and videos. Of course it can pull you in. It pulled me in. I made the mistake of not doing ex-tensive research on this company before giving them my family's hard earned money. Well, I did check Davison Inventions using BBB.com. They had an "A". I felt like that was good enough. It was my fault for not doing the research first, but that does not give any company in this world the right to mislead a person just so they can pay their bills and support their family. Some people have morals and values and some people don't. THIS STATEMENT IS LONG. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND HOW IT ENDED.
